On my portrait the keyhole blended into the background so I outlined the keyhole in black. Even though that helped it wasn't enough so I darkened the wood around the keyhole. This made the image inside the keyhole stand out and brought a new contrast to the portrait.
Artists Communicate through their work
I drew a M&M in the corner because it represents my initials MNM. I put the ballet shoes in the other corner to show my love of dance. I have to 2 flower vines because i love it when flowers grow on a vine, i think it makes them different and special. The cliff scene is from one of my favorite movies and I am doing a C-Jump off of the cliff. I love the keyhole because it shows you looking inside to me, and what I love.
Prompt: Draw fat lines and thin lines I used the fat and thin lines as my background for my pointe shoes. I love the use of all the different colors and the two different directions. I have always loved pointe and the shoes.
Prompt: Use a post card given to you by Mrs.Barnett in sone way Tina Turner is posing in ways that could be considered dance moves. I added the swirls to make the page less black and white. I love how fun the page feels.
Prompt: Use a Grid I made the grid then added pictures related to dance, and then added the colorful blocks, so that it broke up the pencil drawings. Most of the words are different technical terms. I love the silhouettes of ballerinas they make the terms come alive.
Prompt: Layers I tore up book page painted them different colors and put them back on the pages. I drew a little dancer under the childhood tittle. On the next page I drew an older dancer. I love the different colors and how it shows someone progressing through life.
Prompt: Write one word over and over. I chose to write the word dance over and over since that was my theme. I wrote them in different colors, styles, sizes, and directions. I filled the entire pages and let the words on the page show through.I love all the colors and how nothing is the same color or style right next to each other.
Prompt: Fill page with Circles On this page I used a bird's eye view to show the dancers. I made the circles their skirts and drew their heads and arms on top. I like how it actually looks like their moving not just standing still. I tried to show this by using motion arms. I love how all the skirts are are different and so are the people.
